Downsize to Luxury in Cronulla

26th April, 2021
As seen in the St George and Sutherland Shire Leader.

The Cronulla market has been on fire over the last year, with median apartment prices rising 6.2 per cent to $850,000, with three-bedroom apartments’ median price reaching $1.55 million and rentals rising 13 per cent over the last year.

Cronulla was Sydney’s third best performing suburb over the last year, following an 11 per cent median price drop in 2019, and is now attracting a lot of interest from buyers outside of the Sutherland Shire.

While many Shire residents are upgrading from a unit to the new family home, there are a significant number of cashed up homeowners, downsizing from a large home (after having raised their family in the Shire). With minimal upkeep, water views and close proximity to shops and the beach, these empty nesters are downsizing to luxury, waterfront apartments.

Multi- award-winning developer and construction group, Bronxx, has launched arguably Cronulla’s most luxurious apartment development with Oasis, located on the foreshore of Gunnamatta Bay and a short stroll from Cronulla Beach.

Featuring uninterrupted views of the bay, Oasis’s 11 apartments are set in a unique location on the bay and represent the last chance to secure a brand-new property in this sought-after area of Cronulla.

Oasis’s luxury three-bedroom apartments, covering up to 285 square metres of internal space are priced between $5.5 million to $15 million and available for pre-sale through local agent Abode Property Agents.

Located at 11-13 Tonkin Street, Oasis is the pinnacle of many years of successful projects by Bronxx, which is creating a glamourous building. With vertical landscaping complete with foliage on the sides of the building.

Several of the two storey and full floor apartments feature pools, expansive wrap-around terraces overlooking the bay, as well as separate family and media rooms.

Owner of Bronxx, Mr Ciaran Goodman said “Oasis is our flagship project and is already attracting great interest from people in the immediate area who are downsizing from the large homes to state-of-the-art apartments that will provide them with a luxury lifestyle.

We have taken into account the key demands of downsizers, with plenty of storage space, multi-car garages, pantries and walk-in wardrobes, as well as state of the art European appliances”, he added.

The apartments, designed by Vic Lake Architects, also feature floor to ceiling windows, underground secure parking, smart home automation and keyless entry.

Mr Lake said “Oasis is a project that will provide owners with a very easy and exciting transition from their family home to their new home in the sky, with all the modern day luxuries with plenty of space to enjoy and entertain.”

Suzanne Hibberd of Abode Property Agents said “Oasis is designed to complement the trend amongst empty-nesters for luxury apartments in boutique buildings on the water, with transport links, a beach, cafes and parks within a short walk”.

Construction of Oasis is expected to be completed in late 2022 and more information can be found on Oasis Cronulla by visiting the project website at OasisCronulla.com.au.
